Whole 30 Day 10: Top of the Cliff

It’s been a roller coaster, but other than day 5 and 6, the Whole 30 journey has been extremely beneficial. Here’s how:

  • better sleep
  • better taste in food
  • better energy throughout the day

These are small changes and while nothing is earth shattering, I am feeling much better at work and home. What is most surprising, I do not miss most of the foods I’ve cut out. For today, I miss cheese and yogurt. Other than that, I’m enjoying salads with oil and vinegar, fruit..plain fruit, and a lot of roasted vegetables. I know the Whole 30 is not meant or designed to be a life long way of eating, however I can see quite a few changes that I plan to keep.

Breakfast was a banana, almond butter, and black coffee. I have never been a black coffee kind of girl.

Lunch was more soup and a few almonds.

Dinner was more kale and carrots, green chili chicken, and zucchini fries with marinara sauce.

After dinner: I broke out the tea! I made a hot cup of strawberry lemonade/blueberry bliss tea from Teavana.
