Well Fed 2. A second round of Paleo Greatness

WellFed2

What an honor it was to open my email box and see an email from Melissa Joulwan. I knew immediately who she was and I might have squealed a little and made Stephen stop in the middle of the street, in Florida, while on vacation, so I could read her email.

She wanted to send me a copy of her new book, Well Fed 2. I had to re-read the email a few times to make sure it wasn’t some prank or weird spambot thing. But, it was a genuine offer and I was ecstatic to accept.

Once it arrived, I started devouring the information pages before I got to a single recipe. I love it when cookbooks have more than just recipes. She starts with information on the Paleo lifestyle, including pages dedicated to the Whole 30 program. Melissa also has a spread detailing her own story of how she followed the road to health that ended at Paleo. I was in awe of her story and I know she inspires thousands of people through her words and recipes.

Once I looked through the book, I found 3 recipes to try.

Silky Ginger Zucchini Soup

Plantain Nachos

Garlic Mustard Brussels

Each recipe includes something I love called “You know how  you could do that?” which is a list of options to change the recipe a little for a new dish. She includes ideas for sides, sauces, or mains to accompany the dish and that is great for meal planning.

But don’t just take my word for it. Check out her website at The Clothes Make the Girl and get a copy! Thank you, Melissa for making a dream come true for a small time food blogger Smile

UPDATE: Melissa is giving away Well Fed AND Well Fed2! Here is the link.  It ends Monday, Jan 13 at 11:59pm CENTAL time.

Thank you so much for this awesome review. I love that you've tried so many recipes -- and you picked some of my favorites. We eat those plantain nachos at least once a week -- and I always have a batch of zucchini soup in my fridge. Happy cooking to you! Thanks, again!
