Market Day

I woke up really early because I had two things to accomplish: Escape Wal-Mart with all my appendages in place and get to the Farmer’s Market before it got too hot to enjoy living. Normally, getting to Wal-Mart before 10 am was a good bet. But this is Tax-Free weekend for back-to-school. I expected a crowd or two.

I survived the WM trip, and had a great day at Pepper Place Market. The crowds were out with their dogs and bags and kids. The music was lively, and the booths were wall-to-wall with every kind of produce you could ask for.

Since sweet peach tea was out of the question, I settled for my firs iced coffee. I tried to love it, but it was bitter. However, it was hotter than blue blazes outside so I drank it down quick.

The rest of my day involved a couple more stops in Birmingham for school stuff and then the long drive home, happily listening to my Glee playlist. I had a metric ton of housework I wanted to do and cooking and meal prep for next week. I can’t believe the school rush is here.

But look what Stephen did for me. He cooked dinner and it is my absolute favorite meal. Steak+grilled onions+baked potato.

After the market, I had a few things to pick up at Whole Foods since I was in town. I love the salad/hot foods bar. Today, they had grilled bok choy. It was good! I ate it with some mixed greens, artichokes+olives, and grilled green beans/peppers/mushrooms.
