Sin and more sin

O’Charley’s Loaded Potato Soup and the ultimate hot chocolate in a glass Starbucks mug with whipped cream on top.

Somebody seriously needs to hit me over the head. This soup is unbelievable. It is as close to the original as it gets. I was kind of bummed to find out that the main ingredients are Velveeta and cream. Oh, and garlic powder?? Seriously? They use garlic powder instead of the real thing? I mean…no delicate whack with the Wusthof? No using the overpriced garlic peeler from Willie Sonomy? Just plain old shake with the Great Value dusty jar of garlic powder??

I was appalled. But I did what the numerous recipes read. This stuff is worth going to confession, but I’m not Catholic and I digress.

Moment of silence please.

Now…..part 2 of my night of culinary debauchery.

Yes, that is a sprinkle of dark cocoa powder on top. It does nothing to add taste, but I believe we eat with our eyes as well as our mouths.

Since I’m confessing, I might as well say this. HOLY SHNizzle. This was good.

Running—really, knowing I had already run only added to my enjoyment of dinner. 5.6 miles
