Happy 2019!!! My plans for this weekly review is just that. Review. Running is the priority this year and I’m ready to feel like a runner again. The only way to do that is to dress like a runner, go for a run, and talk about running.
I got on the treadmill 3 times this week. I’m measuring my times right now instead of miles. I am building a substantial base before I start any official training. My goal is to get out there 3 times a week for 30-45 minutes. I’m watching the clock, not the miles. I know with winter comes a couple of rounds of student-spread illnesses like flu, strep, and bronchitis. I’ll work through those IF I have to.
Run 1: 38 minutes, steady pace.
Run 2: 35 minutes, tempo.
Run 3: 45 minutes, long and slow. Barely a sweat.
All in all, not too bad for the first week when I’m still full of uncertainty and cheese from the holidays.
