And the bass keeps runnin’ runnin’, and runnin’ runnin’, and runnin’ runnin’, and runnin’ runnin’,
And runnin’ runnin’, and runnin’ runnin’, and runnin’ runnin’, and runnin’ runnin’, and…
Ever have a song in your head that WILL NOT QUIT???!!!
Well now you do
Look. Running shoes. My running shoes. My running shoes that I wore on my feet and used to go for a RUN!! Even in the blistering heat, I found some endorphins that I thought were long gone. (Heat had nothing to do with it. I was inside with the air conditioning running on the treadmill). Running and I are getting along like peas and carrots again. I’m having thoughts of “a run would be great after this day of ridiculousness at teacher inservice”. And, “I canNOT wait to get open house done because I need some treadmill time”. Anybody who knows me is shocked at that thought because I’m not a big fan of the treadmill. But dark and 90* will change a girl’s attitude.
In fact, this weekend is going to be AWESOME! I’m planning a long trail run out at the lake. Its going to be hot so I’m going to go early Saturday morning. I’ve got my Garmin charged, my shoes out already, my fuel choices ready, and the camelbak clean. I almost feel like I did during my first year of running magic when everything about running was easy, fun, comforting, safe, ME. Those feelings of déjà vu are coming more frequently lately and I’m loving every one.
