Ride to Telluride

We got up early and packed up quickly. It takes about an hour to break camp and pull out for the next stop.

We drove out of Aspen and stopped for lunch at Whole Foods. I wanted a big salad and he wanted Sushi.

We kept driving until we got to Montrose, which is the biggest town before getting to Telluride. We had 4 things to do:

  • Find firewood…..again
  • Laundromat
  • Wal-mart for supplies and food
  • Cheap gas

Since we were ready to get to the campground and get showers, we split up the duties in Montrose. We found the firewood at a great price in front of the gas station. Then I left Stephen with the laundry and all our camera battery charging. I braved Walmart.  I have decided, all walmart stores are the same no matter where you go. No matter how new and clean it may be, the people drive me crazy. I wonder if there is some common sense sucker that activates as soon as people walk through the door.

FINALLY, I had groceries and camping supplies and Stephen had all the laundry finished. Tag teaming is awesome.

We got to the Matterhorn campground, complete with showers, just in time to set up camp and start a big pot of vegetable soup.
