Early morning coffee at the base of a mountain. I could do this every day and never get tired of the views. And I greatly appreciate the giant stein collection at the condo. The Christmas scene just made it taste better.
We spent the next few days going up to Mt. Evans, Independence Pass, and over to Loveland Pass. We had so much snow to see and for Atlas to explore.
We had lunch at the Echo Lake lodge. We’ve eaten here a few times and today was just as good. I had this huge grilled cheese sandwich with potato salad.
Independence Pass was snow-covered as well. I have never seen snow this high.
The tiny town of Twin Lakes is on the way up to Independence Pass. On the way back to Breck, we stopped at the food truck for lunch. Atlas got to sit with us in this cute little yard behind the truck. I had a mushroom burger and Stephen had BBQ ribbon fries.
Tomorrow, we plan to visit Frisco and find some streams to hang out.
