I just registered for the I Love the 90’s Run in Nashville! This is my first race for the fall and I am so excited to go back to Nashville. Also, who doesn’t love the 90’s music? Most of us have at least 10 songs from that decade on a running playlist. I know I have quite a few that instantly kick my feet into gear.
Race Details.
- The distance is 5k (3.1 miles).
- It’s at Shelby Park on the eastern side of Nashville.
- The race begins at 8:00am.
- This is a chip-timed race so there might be wave starts if it’s a packed house.
- Registered racers get a shirt and a finisher’s medal
This race has a very flexible packet pickup schedule. If you’re in Nashville early, you can go by the Green Hills Fleet Feet on Thursday from 2-7 pm. On Friday, head over to the Brentwood Fleet Feet from 2-7pm. They also have race day pickup at Shelby Park from 6:45-7:45am.
Training has been on-going and once this awful bronchitis goes away, I will start working on speed work. I have the mileage base but it’s time to get some speed drills going again. Speed drills in the heat and humidity of July and August are misery. I hope some cooler weather arrives soon!
