Healthy Energy with FRS

If you’re like me, I’m sure you’ve seen ad after ad for energy shots that promise amazing results in a few hours. Maybe you have tried them or maybe you have just wondered if they work. Maybe you have wondered what is actually in them. The two most common ingredients are caffeine and sugar and I know this isn’t a surprise to most people. Some (most) of them also contain stimulants and other chemicals that I can’t say or spell correctly. Put all these together, and you’ve got a small bottle of “energy” that will fit neatly in your pocket, but will leave you wide awake with a pounding headache at 2 in the morning.

Thanks, but no thanks. When I had the opportunity to try out FRS Healthy Energy, I gladly accepted. This is the perfect time of year to try out such a product because the end of a school year is the second most stressful time of the year. We are still trying to teach kids who have already mentally checked out for the year. We also have a long list of things to finish outside of the school day. In addition to the late hours at work and the sleepless nights worrying about getting it all done, we are still trying to keep up the home life and workout routines. It’s exhausting just trying to type this!

But why did I choose FRS Healthy Energy?

  • It delivers sustained natural energy without the crash.
  • It is based on a plant (fruit) derivative Quercetin. I’ll detail that a little later.

Those two reasons were enough reason for me to try this product. And I’m glad I did.

As a Fitfluential Ambassador, I received this product for review purposes. All opinions are my own

What is Quercetin?

Quercetin is an antioxidant found in blueberries, apples, and grapes. That’s right–real food. One serving of FRS Healthy Energy is equivalent to the Quercetin in 40 apples! Some products boast a specific ingredient, but delivers a tiny amount. FRS contains the purest form of Quercetin, QU995™ and plenty of it!

But how does it work?

Quercetin acts in the body as a “super fuel” that mimics the effects of exercise by enhancing the production of the body’s mitochondria, the energy-producing units in cells. Traditionally, exercise training has been the only practical way to increase the amount of mitochondria in cells.

All of the above is based on numerous clinical trials with actual measureable results, not just anecdotal accounts which are subject to the placebo effect. FRS Healthy Energy combines Quercetin with green tea compounds and 10o% RDI of 7 vitamins.

And further reason to try FRS Healthy Energy? It was originally developed for an energy boost and immune support for cancer patients taking chemotherapy. And now it is being used by elite athletes, pro football players like Tim Tebow, over 20 professional sports teams, and athletes everywhere. But FRS Healthy Energy is not just for the super athletic. It’s produced for the busy moms, the stay-at-home fathers, the adults burning both ends of the candle. In other words, ME and YOU!

So what was my experience?

I used this product in several different situations.

  • post-race
  • pre-workout
  • mid-morning during a very hectic “field day” at school
  • mid-afternoon, aka “3pm slump”

I’m pleased to report that I did not have any issues drinking this on an empty stomach or right after a hard race. I could definitely tell there was an energy boost. This was most obvious at the mid afternoon when I used to grab a soda. I love this ice cold and would keep a steady supply in my fridge for those occasions. Instead of being sleepy and lethargic, I was wide awake and ready to go workout. I drank this before tough CrossFit classes and hard running routes. However, I did NOT have any problems going to sleep at my normal bedtime. I didn’t notice any crash, just a gradual winding down for the day feeling. I slept great while using this product.

Where can I buy more of this? GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Kroger, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Harris Teeter, Meijer, Whole Foods, and other retailers. I can also order more online from the FRS Healthy Energy website. I can purchase or order ready-to-drink cans or bottles, powdered mixes, chews, mini shots, and concentrates. I REALLY liked the chews. They did not leave any kind of aftertaste and definitely gave me an energy boost, but it was a “clean” energy, not a chemical jittery boost. I’m going to check out my nearest Walgreens this weekend for more chews.
