I’m still a little in shock that I met my goal, but I did it!
How much did I lose? This is the narrowest margin out of all 3 previous Dietbets.
My total weight lost from all dietbets- 30.4 lbs since mid January
How did I do it? Two things:
1. I read It Starts With Food.
2. I followed the directions. Whole 30 has made the biggest difference.
I went into this round of Dietbet knowing that I had a few things going against me. And in fact, after the race on Saturday before the final weigh in on Tuesday, I was not very confident that I could beat down post-race water retention. But, for the first time ever, I didn’t retain much fluid. Is it because I’ve cut so many grains/gluten products out of my diet? I think that has a lot to do with it.
As far as my birthday month, I enjoyed 2 weekends of treats but kept it clean during the week and had great week on the scale after. I do not feel like I missed out on anything. In fact, there is nothing better than enjoying a celebration of a year older, but feeling better than previous years.
So, thank you again Fitfluential and Dietbet for this opportunity. I still have more to lose until I get back to my comfortable racing weight but I’m at a weight that I haven’t seen in a couple of years
