I have a great race coming up in February. This one combines two of my favorite things: chocolate and running!
I have heard some great things about the Allstate Hot Chocolate race series but never registered. I almost passed on this one because February is about the only month that is guaranteed to be brutally cold in the south. But then again, what a perfect chance to have a race with hot chocolate aid stations and finish line treats?

Can you believe this participant jacket? This is much more than a t-shirt!

Now that I’m registered, it’s time to get some training miles in before the holidays take over. I have a home treadmill to work around the rainy weather here in Alabama.
My 5K training plan is rather mundane. I run when I can and walk when I need to walk. For fun themed races like this, I have no speed goals. I just enjoy the event! I’ll check back in January to update my couple of weeks before the race.
