It’s the first summer market day since we got back from Colorado. I try to get to the Birmingham market twice a month during the summer/fall season, but I’m way behind schedule this year. I have been working on using all the frozen foods in our 3 freezers and I finally got to the bottom of the 2 deep ones. It is time to stock up on pastured pork and beef and as many vegetables as I could physically carry. I love this market, even in 100* temps and sweat running down my face.
Here is what I managed to carry back to the 4runner. I will freeze the pork and eat the vegetables early in the week. Those eggs are for a new frittata recipe. Stephen loves fresh corn. He gets to enjoy fresh corn just a few weeks a year so I know he will love these. Green, sweet potatoes, peaches (Cobbler time!), tomatoes, beans, carrots, and squash round out the trip.
Back to work next week, so this weekend I’m planning a full meal prep day. I’m ready to get back to a strict routine. Happy Saturday!

Dear Katrina Hi, just read your article on stomach inflammation and gluten resistance.Last year, I finally got myself treated for the inflammation. However, three things that I always suspected and confirm after reading your article: 1. The headaches that begin when my stomach is upset, and go on for days. 2. The skin irritation is also related. 3. I admire your energy in keeping up and not falling back. I do that. Thank you for the reminder Do share some if your BRA diet recipes. I am also a teacher like you, live in Delhi, India
