I love lazy Saturdays. It’s the one day of the week that I try to take for myself. As a teacher, I always have homework. There is just not enough time during the week to have a life and get all the school work done, but I insist on one full day away from school. So, I was looking forward to today.
I was almost finished with this jar of almond butter, so I added my banana oats, gingerbread granola, flax, and bee pollen. It was fabulous.
Then it was time for a trip to the big city. I live a little over an hour away from Whole Foods and other favorite stores. Since I was out of almond butter, why not go?
I had lunch at P.F. Chang’s.
and had Sesame Chicken bowl with brown rice. It was outstanding….but no pic. No card in my P&S camera. (boo hiss)
I took a quick trip to Anthropologie. They have some bowls called “Frankie” bowls. And since my favorite furry friend is named Frankie, it’s only fitting that I have the bowl. I also wanted to grab a green latte bowl to replace the one I lost in an unfortunate slippery floor incident. I scored both!
Then it was off to Whole Paycheck Market. I stocked up on a lot of goodies!
But, before I could unload everything, Frankie insisted on his inspection.
This is Frankie…the best rescue cat in the world.

After the inspection, check it out!
- Chicken sausage
- Butternut and acorn squash-local
- New Zealand wine
- Almond butter
- Amazing Meal smoothie mix
- Dylan’s Chia granola-raspberry and walnut
I have no idea if I’m going to like the smoothie mix, but I’m going to try it!
So, there you have it. Now I’m setting in for an afternoon of the Olympics!!!
