Now She’s Gone Book Review

I love a good police procedural and this is a fast-paced thriller that hit all the right buttons on my checklist. This is the second book in the Detective Rachel Prince series. And I need more Rachel Prince.

Dt. Rachel is asked to investigate a case that is supposedly already solved. Emily’s family is not convinced their daughter died by accident.  Her father knows there has to be more to the story and he’s convinced she has been murdered. He suspects a cover up and needs help proving his theory.

Rachel and her partner/maybe friend/maybe more later? Mark investigate the case and the story is heavy with police procedural elements which I loved. We also got a side story with Rachel’s personal life and maybe a hint of the future between her and Mark. Throw in an adorable dog named Dolly and this book could not be put down. The mystery is solved and my heart was racing in the end wondering what would happen next and if I figured out some crucial clues correctly. This book is one of the best mysteries I’ve read this year. Thank you NetGalley and Bookcouture for the ARC for my honest opinion.
