After talking to Momma, I made some hot tea. “Hot tea will help that congestion”. Since she was sitting at HER mother’s house during this phone call and I didn’t hear any objection from Grandma, I decided to try some.
And since this is about hot tea, I think it’s time to break out the Farmville cup that a friend and co-worker gave me for my birthday—which is next week.

And my flowers bloomed out today! I slept most of the day and when I woke up, they had bloomed! when I bought these, they were young and fresh cut.
Dinner tonight was almost a bowl of cheetoes and some cake. I really didn’t feel like cooking, but then again, I didn’t feel like driving to buy cheetoes either.
So, I made salmon, kale chips, and butternut squash. I had the squash made from Sunday, so I just baked the salmon and kale.
Salmon
- olive oil
- sliced lemon
- dill
- green onions
- salt and garlic pepper
- bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes
Kale chips—drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper, and parm cheese. Bake at 350 for about 8-10 min. until crispy, but not burned

This was good! Not to heavy, but something substantial. I love fresh herbs when cooking. They really make a difference in the taste of foods.
Now, as far as Momma’s other suggestions…Vicks on my chest and feet???? Yikes.
I’ll start with the hot lemonade 😉

Random but when I am stuffed up I use those Breathe Rite strips (they are supposed to help people not snore) but they open me right up! Hope you feel better soon!! :)
