Healing foods?—Amazing Grass review

Sunday morning, I woke up with that dreaded feeling—the shots had worn off. My head was back to it’s regular pumpkin like state and my lungs were as tight as before. It usually takes about 48 hours for the oral medicine to kick in, so I resigned myself to just laying low and resting.

First, I needed something to take with my antibiotic and food didn’t sound good at all. Why not try an Amazing Meal Chocolate smoothie? I had this sample just waiting for the perfect time to try it.

I kept it simple. I didn’t want to add a lot of things to it yet.

  • 8 oz of water—should have used ice. I want ice cold or burning hot things when I’m sick.
  • 2T unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Amazing Meal Chocolate Infusion

The Verdict—Wow! If I can get past the look of it, this was good. The extra cocoa may have been too much. I could taste an earthy flavor but it is not overwhelming at all. I was curious about whether or not it would fill me up and/or give me an energy kick…although at this point, I think energy was beyond my realm of possibility.

4 hours later: This stuff is good. I’m still feeling about 30% well, but I’m not collapsed in the bed praying for death. With pneumonia, I really need to keep moving so fluid won’t settle any further in my lung. I have been resting in the chair and getting up every hour to work on stuff around the house. I think this superfood drink helped a ton with extra energy. Just have to ignore the look of this.
