I do. In my head. Being a kindergarten teacher today was difficult. It’s hard to be perky around my babies when I feel like a worn shoe. I wasn’t running fever when I left, so I assumed I was in the clear. WRONG! I felt ok until lunch and then got slammed by fever and more crazy sinus pain in my ears and head. I had a LOT of water today hoping to help the situation. Unfortunately, this kind of stuff is affecting a lot of kids, too.
Looking back to this time last year, I still smile and appreciate so many good things about this year. Yes I’m sick, but I’m not living in the ICU waiting room as I was a year ago. My family is healthy. My work is rewarding…demanding and exhausting, but rewarding. And health is a huge priority for both Stephen and myself. This morning, he laid out another sample of Amazing Grass so I wouldn’t forget to get in another boost of nutrition. While I wasn’t looking, he put a multi-vitamin and a B-complex next to my keys. He’s sneaky that way:-)
This morning, I knew I shouldn’t go do my crossfit workout, so I enjoyed an extra hour of sleep and then made this!
with my new almond butter and best pumpkin butter ever.
I thoroughly enjoyed this bowl while driving to work. Am I the only one who considers oatmeal a fast food?
And of course I had to pack some good stuff to eat at work.
- Lentils with roasted vegetables
cucumbers carrots and pumpkin salsa
almonds cheese fruit
yogurt and granola
BIG ORANGE!! it was so good.
Thanks Mom for my latest lunch bag. I got this for Christmas and it’s been holding magazines for traveling. But it’s even better as my lunch bag.
Monday is over, now it’s time to start feeling better. Here’s to Tuesday.
