I finally did a full pullup workout!!! Color me too happy to be around because I’m obnoxious. Of course, when I made this grand decision, I was reading the WOD wrong. I thought I only had to do 3 rounds of 5 pull ups. My trainer did change out the pushups for situps. Ever since the rhabdo incident, the trainers have been very cautious with letting me back on the pull up bar. I’ve progressed from standing up ring rows and gradually moving to incline ring rows. But today was the day to try them using the most resistant band they have.

3 rounds of the following:

  • 800m
  • 5 pull ups
  • 10 situps
  • 15 air squats
  • 5 pull ups
  • 10 sit ups
  • 15 air squats
  • 5 pull ups
  • 10 situps
  • 15 air squats

That was a long morning. But I finished.


After my first breakfast mocha protein shake, I had a second breakfast of yogurt and granola. I can’t force down oatmeal today and I don’t know why. oatmeal

Lunch was more steamed beans and carrots with leftover lentils/quinoa with frozen vegetables.

Now the sweating part of this post….5 miles outside, short intervals again. 6×800 plus 1 mile warm up and cool off-whine.

Today’s goals:

1. A gallon of water and 3 cups of green/white tea. Done!

2. Tracking food/workouts. Done. I was low today. 1467 and I earned 765 calories. I really should have had a larger lunch. I’ll pay for that tomorrow.

3. 19/100 pushups. I was sore 🙁
