It has been way too long since I’ve been to Pepper Place market. My fridge was empty and that is the best reason to visit. it takes over an hour to drive to Birmingham to the market and I think it is worth every minute. Local produce, good prices, and supporting small businesses are high on my list of reasons to make the trip. I also hit up Whole Foods and the teacher supply store. School starts soon and the large teacher store has most of what I need for a new school year.
Today was overcast and that brought out everybody with their pets and pocketbooks. I had a great time hunting down my favorite vendors like the “sausage man” and Snow’s Bend farms. I stocked up on sausage, vegetables, eggs and honey. It was a beautiful day and I got a lot of pictures!
