Look what came in the mail!!
Terri Jo from Amazing Grass sent me this box of several samples of powders and bars for me to try out and review on my blog.
I’m always on the lookout for good food that’s easy on my blood sugar. Unfortunately, many wheatgrass powders have sugar in them or too much artificial sugar that leaves a bad aftertaste—so bad that the spinach can’t cover it up. I’ve tried a couple of products from Amazing Grass in the past and what won me over was the taste. I’ve been reading a lot about the health benefits of wheatgrass. THis morning, I wanted to try some Berry flavored Superfood. Before I got started, I checked my fasting/morning sugar (The time is one hour later than normal. I never change the time on my meter).
Purple~~ It was really good. I love the thickness of fruit and yogurt.
2 hours later, my sugar was actually down from the fasting level. So, this stuff did NOT raise my levels at all. Thank goodness, because this stuff is really good.
