Our local River Market in Tuscaloosa is open all year long which means fresh eggs from Miss Emily, local beef and pork, winter vegetables from the Druid City Project, FRESH CITRUS, and hothouse tomatoes all year long. It doesn’t get much better than that. While waiting for the spring markets and summer harvest, I can still find fresh food and humanely-raised meat in my hometown. Who loves hot tea while shopping? Me. Since cutting out all added sugar, I’m drinking more hot tea. Tea Town Alabama has plenty of selection for a cold morning. I love the Orange Spice and the Oregon Chai. I’m going to try the Brain Boost next!
It’s still winter in Alabama but it won’t be long until we get our own garden started and the River Market is full of all the vegetables we can handle. Life is good on the River.
