I feel like I do every end-of-May. Out of control with almost everything. We have 3 days to end the school year and that includes a lot of anxiety, stress, and stress eating. My only workout includes setting the alarm clock and some quick running here and there. “I’ll get it together after school is out” is my mantra lately.
So, without further adeu, here is today’s self-criticism.
Exactly. So I worked some magic with dinner. Salmon and broccoli with chipotle-lime butter. I forget just much I love good food. No yucky aftertaste. No film on the roof of my mouth. No ultra-high-sodium side-effects. Just good food.
Speaking of good food, I’m stocking up for our trip to Colorado. Three weeks on the road, camping, glamping, and condo-ing. This year, we both want to steer clear of gas-station snack foods for traveling. Other than OCCASIONAL Jalepeno Cheetoes, we are bringing out own Paleo snacks. Lots of jerky, pork rinds, seed mixes, “granola” that is grain-free, and all of it with little to no sugar. My box from Barefoot Provisions just came in the mail today. Beef sticks, Primal Pacs, and sprouted crackers are in this shipment. I have another one on the way with these awesome pork rinds. More about that later!
Another happy mail from The Savvy Coconut. I have tried several headbands. These absolutely do NOT slip off my weird head. The prices cannot be beat. I love these and have more on the way.
