Only those wearing capes and bleeding perfection should venture out into the world of Monday.
Obviously, that is not me.
That’s more like it.
Let’s count the reasons why today is NOT a good day.
1. I have 9 students who have been sent home with all kinds of symptoms of a vapid stomach virus.
2. Our county has an audit coming up in 2 weeks. Which means we had a marathon faculty meeting today and have been warned about future Monday marathon faculty meetings.
3. I don’t feel good. I’m not sure if it’s because I have what the kids have, it is leftover icky feeling from an epic gluten contamination Friday, or if it’s because I’m already tired even though the holiday season is NOT upon us no matter what Target and the mall show.
4. The holiday season is upon us. Facebook just showed me why.
Now that the whining is over, it wasn’t really THAT bad of a day. It’s FALL which means I’m so annoyingly giddy that optimism just oozes out of my pores. We have gorgeous weather, we are in the middle of football season and we are in that fantastic sweet spot of holiday anticipation before all the cray cray lets loose all over everybody. I’m soaking up every minute.
Speaking of being happy and thankful, my November Erin Condren cover came in today.
And some stickers from a great Etsy store came in. Fall and Christmas stickers from Scribble Prints Co.
Fall cooking coming up! I met both of these ladies in Austin.
So what did I eat today? Glorious leftovers.
And now I get to look forward to Tuesday. And we all know how I feel about that.
