Time with my family
My nephew on Stephen’s side of the family and Dixie. Yes, his bib says “chick magnet”. His grandfather picked out that one. 😀
My father and nephew Jackson.
He loves the flower on his new walker.
Sock Monkey…not quite the best of friends upon meeting.
Great food!
Santa was generous this year
Kitchen stuff Cookbooks!
A Clean Start Speaking of cleaning……
I have a thing for argyle Eucalyptus for stuffy heads
Grandma’s cheese straws! She made these for me and they are fabulous!
Yes, this is a Snuggie.
Yes, I made fun of these things for the past two years. I said horrible things about Snuggie.
No, I did not “raise the roof” like the dorky guy in the commercial.
Yes, I love it and have used it every day.
No, I’m not ashamed of the snuggie.
NO! I do not want the Hoodie Footie. Slap some ears on that thing and it will be Ralphie’s bunny outfit from Aunt Clara. No way. NEVER!
Gifts from the heart
Both years we went to Colorado, we stayed at a really nice hotel in Crested Butte. I loved staying there. Was it the room service? The great view? The comfortable spacious rooms? Nope..it was the hotel robe. It was just the right size, super soft, and great length..not so long that I got tangled nor too short to feel indecent when I went down the hall to the ice machine. While on a long day hike, I kept thinking about getting some good food, long soak in the tub, and that robe. I didn’t really say too much about it then at least not as much as I was thinking (“I love this robe! I want this robe. Why does it cost so much, it’s just a robe, but wow, what a robe”..etc). I know I said a couple of times that I really wanted to get a robe like that for future travels. Well, he was listening. Our last trip was in July and in December, I found the exact robe in a box with my name on it.
And Glee? Well, I mentioned that I thought the last 3 episodes of season 1 seemed to be better than season 2. (I didn’t start watching the show until very late in season 1). Stephen said he had finished all my shopping early but as he was wandering around Best Buy, he saw the display and felt like the lights from heaven and angels singing (kinda like Clark Griswald when he finds the family Christmas tree) were a sign that I would enjoy this gift. He was right.
It’s a well known fact that I once had these movies in VHS. Mom kept them “for the grandkids”. So, my sister and I have been anxiously waiting for each of them to come out the Disney Vault and if it wasn’t for the fact that I love these movies, I would tell Disney to stick their vault where the sun don’t shine.
I missed the boat the last time Lion King was released. Since then, I’ve been ripped off on ebay trying to get a copy. And I refuse to pay 60 bucks for a movie that will be coming out in 6 more years.
When I heard that B&Beast was being released, I told anybody who would listen. He pre-ordered B&B on Amazon way back in October. I still do not know how he got Lion King. As far as I know, there is no second mortgage on the house and Frankie was not sold. I won’t ask anymore questions because I think he may have sold some plasma.
It was a great weekend and we were so fortunate to have work schedules allow both of us to see both families. Don’t ask me when I’m taking down the Christmas decorations. I have no problems signing Valentine cards by the flickering lights of the tree.

We laughed so hard at that. Monica said he had never had that reaction to anything yet so it was priceless!
