Sugar Free Day 6…HOME RUN!

I didn’t even think about a coke at 3:00 today. I didn’t think about it at 7:45. I didn’t even think about sugar today. I had a headache around 2, but I ate something and it went away. I forgot to eat during my planning break (too busy!) but I know that needs to be a top priority. One big plus of going sugar free is that I’m not eating junk of any kind because most of it has sugar.

But now my head is killing me because I think a sinus infection is creeping my way.

The bag lady back in action.

IMG_7798 Protein shake (post workout)

Oatmeal, peanut butter, granola

Egg cheese breakfast sandwich on wheat thin

Cucumbers, pumpkin chipotle salsa

Pear and wheat crackers

Chicken with veggies, lentils, quinoa

Siggis yogurt with granola

Todays Workout:

400m run

Front Squats (bar on shoulders under neck)

Max reps for 3 sets (weight 45, 30, 25lbs) . Total: 81 squats.

I finally found a way to fuel before working out—liquid nutrition. I make my protein shake to drink AFTER for muscle recovery. I also make a smaller version without the protein powder to drink before. It has bananas in it so it has quick carbs, but I only drink about 8 oz. It’s working very well so far. The stand-by is half a wheat sandwich thin with almond or peanut butter with some fruit spread. 3 bites and it’s done.

Check out my new cookbook!

This is easy to read, easy to cook, and has a lot of new ideas for plain vegetables. Tonight, I made roasted mushrooms and green beans with red pepper rosemary oil. I’ve never roasted green beans, but I will from now on. The flavor was unreal!

You are inspiring! While I don't feel I eat to much sugar I do hear you about the coke cravings. Only my nemesis is diet coke. Continued success! GREG

I love roasted green beans, and I love that you added mushrooms to the mix! :D

I'm determined to try new and different oils. A red pepper rosemary oil sounds fabulous. :D
