Fall race training is off to a good start. I have been doing a mix of morning and late afternoon running at the park and at the trails. I have a couple of fall races with Rock ‘n’ Roll coming up and I hope to go back to my old stomping grounds with some local races. Running is definitely easier as I’m losing fat. I climbed a mountain at my highest weight. I’m slowly getting back to my prime running weight. This fall is going to be fantastic!
Living in limbo right now. I have my most-loved running shoes close by. The rest are packed up until the house is finished. Because my treadmill is in the shop, I keep my shoes in there, as well. I can do without a LOT of things, I’m learning. However, access to a variety of shoes is non-negotiable.
Food is glorious. The Tuscaloosa foodie scene is exploding. We have a few great new restaurants that cater to Paleo eaters. And we have chains that include protein-heavy meals. Zoe’s will always be a favorite with their protein-power plate. Slaw, caramelized onion, grilled chicken and feta. This could be two meals….but I ate the whole thing.
I may be living in an RV, but I’m still cooking when I can. I’m eating a lot of chicken, steak, ground beef, and vegetables. Butter is constant. Coconut oil is on the shelf daily. And my weight is averaging 2-3 lbs a week. Running and food are working for me
