Out with the old..

After a decent night of sleep, I woke up feeling a little better. Here it is 12 hours later and well, just look at what all I’ve been doing.

I went through both freezers and got rid of old stuff and wrote down what I had left so hopefully, meal planning will be easier.

Then I used my Magic Erasers on the bathroom. I cannot believe how good these things are. My tub has never been so clean.

While I was at it, I cleaned out the bathroom cabinets.

And well, my running/workout baskets were all jacked up and needed putting back together. I bet I won’t spend as much time finding the right clothes for the right activity now.

Frankie’s pic is just because he’s so cute when he’s curious. . . or hungry.

I am exhausted and coughing my head off now, but it was worth it. I like having everything organized so I don’t waste time. Knowing exactly what food I have on hand should cut down on repeat buying this month. I’m trying to keep costs down and use what I have already. Today’s grocery bill was almost half of what it normally is.

In the middle of this cleaning frenzy, I did remember to eat.

oats oats

This morning’s concoction is probably my favorite.

  • 1/2 cup of oats cooked with 1 cup of water, cinnamon, dash of salt, half a ripe banana
  • Cinnamon Vanilla Naturally Nutty almond butter
  • Pumpkin granola
  • flax seed

I was too busy for anything fancy for lunch. Nothing beats a hot cup of soup and Grandma’s cheese straws. Am I the only person in the world who has this cup….and thinks it’s AWESOME!!??

I’m about to make something hot to drink and start thinking about those New Year goals. I’ve got one hour to think 😉
