Keep it simple

With the world glued to events across the world in Egypt, it’s hard to avoid thinking about the what ifs. Our own country is having its own problems, how much would it take to throw us into a similar spotlight?

Needless to say, it’s easy to get bogged down in things like this. On one hand, it is good to step outside of our own neighborhoods and gain a more world-wide perspective. Then again, today, I just wanted to keep it simple at home.

It’s not exactly comfort food, but it’s clean food (okay, the bacon is NOT but I need bacon in my life) and I happily crunched away while watching reruns of Criminal Minds. In other words, it was normal. It was stable. It was routine.

I needed that today.
