Today was a rest day. Imagine that. I have rest days again. I’ve had them along the way, but now that I’m running, it feels good to call it a rest day and know exactly what that means.
Things are going well and I’m still not trying to beat a dead horse. I’m taking each run as it comes, doing all I can to keep healthy, and enjoy every second. It is interesting how much my blood sugar is shifting. I work hard in spin and weight class and I’ve adjusted my fueling for those activities. Running is a whole new ballgame. I’m learning all over again.
And slowly, I feel like I’m coming out of the very wide comfy pit I’ve been in. It’s good to feel the sun directly on my face instead of the edges of the rays now and then. Almost feels free again.
