Although I absolutely love the first few days of autumn and the return to sweaters and stews, I am so ready for spring. It’s making a late entrance this year, especially for Alabama so I took advantage of the first sunny 60s day with a smoothie instead of hot tea. I have a new Vitamix and it has been busy blending soups and spreads for winter. It’s time to break it in with a smoothie.
Cooking Light has a wide variety of any type of smoothie imaginable. I wanted something that reminded me of orange push-ups from childhood. I didn’t have them often, but I really enjoyed them when I did. This recipe was so easy and all I needed to buy was orange sherbet.
- Place yogurt in a blender first.
- Add orange sherbet, orange rind, orange sections, and vanilla to blender; process until smooth.
- Add ice; process until smooth. Pour into glasses. Serve immediately.
