Getting packed for the beach should be easy, right?

We had food. . . .

….and that’s about all we had.

When we got halfway there, we realized we had left the chairs, sunscreen, his toiletry bag, and towels at home. A stop at Wal-mart solved most of those problems, but we forgot sunscreen. HUGE MISTAKE.

For dinner, we ate at Peg Leg Pete’s. This was a very popular tourist and local attraction. It got great reviews and was away from the mid-town congestion that was difficult to navigate through. When we put our name in, she said it was a 45 minute wait or we could start with appetizers at the bar. We went to the bar to start off with something to drink and stood along eht wall.  Within 10 minutes, we had 2 places open up so we could sit down. We decided to go ahead and eat there since it was quick and the whole place was one big rowdy party. I got the Grouper sandwich. It was blackened grilled grouper with mushrooms, onions, and Swiss. After this and a walk along a very dark beach, it was time to crash.

Tomorrow we will do some exploring of Gulf Breeze and Pensacola beach. It’s perfect weather so far.
