This is a short and sweet Favorites. I can’t list all the things I love about fall in just one post. I picked my first 3 that I can enjoy even when summer is still hanging around.
1. Sunsets
It doesn’t get “fall” weather until late Oct/November. I have to get my kicks in when I can. Sunsets are gorgeous this time of year. The days are getting shorter and the painted skies are the norm.
2. Starbucks Pumpkin Spice.
Yes, I’m one of those people. Those people everyone is hating on this year. I happen to agree that drinking a hot spiced coffee at 101* is ridiculous, but I don’t really care. I love them and I waited patiently for Sept. 1 to get my first one of the season.
3. Cider.
After 2 years of looking and longing from afar, I finally got my hands on a Pumpkin Cider. I emailed, begged, whined, and it worked. I got an email from the Woodchuck Cider people. He guaranteed that the distributor for Alabama was bringing some to Tuscaloosa. These are special reserve which means they are on the production line at Woodchuck for only 2.5 HOURS. That’s all. And I got a case! While I’ve been rationing them for very special occasions like Alabama games, anniversaries, and making it home in one piece after a Friday filled with play doh, ice cream, popcorn, reward movie, art project, and iPads.
