Today was our first field trip the the local Barnyard. It really is a cool place to take a bunch of kids who do not have experiences in things like farms or live farm animals. It is my favorite field trip, mostly because the kids can’t get lost. Field trips make me CRAZY nervous with all the “ifs and buts” that go through my mind. Other than falling in the pond or having their hands bitten off by a cow, not much can happen.
Today was no exception. Beautiful weather, fall time fun.
I remember as a child, one of the best parts of a field trip was picking out my lunch for the trip. No school lunch or plain pb&J for a field trip. I got to pick out chips, fruit, a snack, and…a coke or chocolate milk. Not much has changed except the lack of a coke. I brought a water along. No sandwich, either.
