Argentine Grill

This is the restaurant located next to the Rico Hotel.

Chef O’Hara is the former Executive Sous Chef at the world famous Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles, California, where he had the privilege of working with the world renown Wolfgang Puck.

Beyond that, he is the most friendly hotel owner and operator you will ever find. This is our second trip to stay with him at the Rico Hotel and Argentine Grill. The restaurant is a local favorite for those wishing for a more sophisticated dining experience. If you’re looking for fast food, this is not it.

We were seated on the side porch just as the sun was going down behind the peaks and the friendly hostess arrived promptly with our drinks and bread. I ordered the pasta special which was penne and a roasted pepper sauce with zucchini, arugula, and beef tips. The beef was the epitome of “melt in your mouth”. The vegetables were crisp tender and well done. The sauce was outstanding! I hope to experiment and get halfway close to this recipe. The arugula gave it a very distinctive special twist. It was far beyond a jar sauce.

After eating this, I had to get the chocolate cake! I had this last year and it was even better this year. (It was so good, I forgot to get a picture. This is last year’s picture)
