Another Tuesday

As much as I complain about Tuesday, it wasn’t that bad. After going to yet another dr. appt, I finally got some answers on why I’ve felt like moose poo for the past few weeks. Daily headaches, body aches, tiredness that is not the usual for a stressed teacher, feeling like I’m foggy and lost, etc can all be linked back to the kidneys and liver. I’m low in iron. My blood looks “too weak and deficient” in the things that regulate stress, mood, immunity, and overall good health. My kidneys still have some elevated protein from the rhabdo and my liver has been working overtime so it’s not keeping my blood healthy.

The headaches are from the sinus infection that has set up camp in the top of my face/head area. The heartburn and irritated stomach is from the crappy anti-biotics I was taking for the sinus infection.

So now what? Stop the anti-biotics, start taking good supplements, Mucinex, water, rest, and exercise since it makes me feel good. I can do that. I actually ordered some supplements a few days ago and they’ve been sitting in the box in the corner because I just haven’t taken the time to open them. I know I ordered a multi, probiotic, Vit D, B, and C. I can’t remember the rest. Ugh. I’m getting old and forgetful. I bet there’s nothing in those bottles for frown lines.

This morning, I went to CrossFit, had an all day meeting, then a school meeting at 6. It’s been a long day, but a pretty good one. My sugar levels stayed down today. May have something to do with working out early and drastically cutting some carbs from lunch.

And now I’m going to brag. I may not have a famous bowl cabinet, but I have something better. And he built it for me. Every time I walk in the kitchen, I smile. We talked about this back in the summer and I thought it might be a “next year” project since it took a lot of time and energy to refinish the table. But he got started it on it right away when I finally made up my mind on what I wanted.

Now I just need to feel better and start cooking again. The man deserves a good meal after all this work. But sauerkraut is out of the question 😉
